I appreciate the sleek design and innovative features of Nothing OS, particularly the smooth and customizable user experience. However, I would like to suggest a user-friendly improvement: integrating Animation Settings directly into the main Settings menu, rather than requiring users to access them through Developer Options.
Currently, to adjust animation scales (e.g., Window Animation Scale, Transition Animation Scale, and Animator Duration Scale), users must enable Developer Options by tapping the Build Number multiple times and then navigate to a hidden menu. This process can be intimidating for non-technical users and feels unnecessarily complex for a feature that significantly impacts the phone’s perceived speed and fluidity.
By adding an “Animation Settings” option under a more accessible section, such as Display or System in the main Settings app, users could easily customize animation speeds (e.g., 0.5x, 1x, or off) to suit their preferences. This would enhance the Nothing Phone’s accessibility, align with your brand’s focus on simplicity and user-centric design, and make the OS feel more polished and intuitive. For example, Samsung includes a “Remove Animations” toggle in its Accessibility settings, and a similar approach could work well for Nothing OS.
