I recently got the Nothing Phone 3A Pro and have been facing serious issues with mobile data and network connectivity using MTS (Russia) as my carrier 😥
- No internet access, SMS, or calls while connected to 4G (VoLTE).
- Works fine only when forced to 3G or 2G.
- Other carriers (Beeline, Megafon, Tele2) do not have this issue – the phone works flawlessly in 4G with them.
I’ve confirmed this isn’t an isolated problem. Multiple users on local tech forums are reporting the same behavior. Some even had access to test firmware, and according to their feedback, the issue seems to be resolved in a recent internal build.
It appears to be a compatibility issue between Nothing OS and certain LTE configurations used by MTS – especially in specific regions.
So.. the grand question is:
- Is Nothing aware of this compatibility issue?
- Is an OTA fix being prepared for rollout?
- Can users in affected regions be added to beta testing channels for early access to this patch?
I love the phone overall - it has great design, amazing camera, but this one issue makes it almost unusable on one of the biggest Russian carriers 😕 And I don’t want to change the carrier because it has been my carrier for both mobile and home internet for quite a time
Would appreciate an official word or timeline if possible 😃
