Nothing had me intrigued since the very start. The Phone 1 came with such a personality and honestly it felt a little crazy seeing a design like that in 2022. With time, as they released their earbuds, the phone 2, the 2a, the 3a and the 3a, my confidence in the brand grew much more. More than anything else, it was the sheer participation and the size of the community the brand developed that I just had to be a part of. The FOMO that comes with not being a part of this is REAL.
And then they released a sub brand, the CMF series of devices. And honestly, it felt like a dream listening to the words “modular phone” in 2024. The replaceable backs, the community’s builds, the utility back panel, the idea of being able to pop legos on the back of your phone. Holy moly, that’s genius. And I just had to be a part of it. So, I waited it out and got the CMF Phone 2 Pro in the very day it released! Got a watch coming soon too (once I can makeup my mind on which to get, the one design still has me hooooked!)
So, I currently own the CMF Phone 2 Pro & the first gen CMF Buds Pro and holy moly are they fantastic. The materials used, being plastic are so god darn sturdy, and feel so ridiculously good in the hand. I can’t wait till they release the accessory kit. Probably got a loyal Nothing or to be precise CMF guy here.
But, in short, if you ask me what my favorite part of this brand is, it’s the crazy good OS experience and the community that helps the team do the good work.
