Hi everybody, brand new owner of a CMF Phone 2 Pro. I tried to understand if any of the chargers I already have is a good one, but the only one that seems to work just fine is the 68W by Motorola. Unfortunately is used by my son, and I need to be independent on this.
I’m trying to find useful info about tech specs but it’s not that easy. On the Italian Nothing website there are no info of sort about the charger. 😶 Only useful info (I suppose, not an expert at all) I found on a website about the output current of the 100W GaN: 5 ampere. Is that the right value?
If so, I suppose I have to find a charger with an output current of 5 Ampere. Max output of the charger I’ve using now (just one charge so far, the phone arrived yesterday) is 6.2 Ampere, so numbers seem to almost add up.
Anyway, I see the output current of a lot of “fast chargers” sold on Amazon is way less: around 3 Ampere, sometimes less. I think that doesn’t guarantee a fast charging process, am I right?
I don’t need a multi-port charger so I won’t buy the GaN one from Nothing, but I want to be sure I’m going to buy the right one for a fast charge.
Closing rant: 😂🤬 this thing that now chargers are no more sold with phones is the most silly thing in the world. They told us it’s an environmentally friendly choice, but in the end we have so many different charging needs that with a new phone you often have to buy a new charger too. And often you get mad to find the right one.
