Do CMF Phones save EXIF data when taking photos?

I was reading this and was wondering, do CMF Phones save EXIF data when taking photos? If it doesn’t, I would be a lot more confident in sending my photos on social media and websites.

Test_IsHere Like most camera and smartphone these days, CMF Phone save EXIF data.
That’s a standard thing and most website / social media clear these data out of the file before upload.

RapidZapper No they don’t, technically. The original is uploaded and stored, copied and compressed, then the compressed and stripped version is loaded on their platform. All of this happens the instant you upload the original image.

Doesn’t matter though, if someone wants to find you, they will, regardless. Just takes agency and social engineering.

You can disable “Save Location” in the camera settings - at least I can on my NP(1)
