Weather App Accuracy: Accu Weather vs Google Weather.

Hey Nothing Community,

Just wanted to quickly share a thought on the native weather app. Personally, I’ve found AccuWeather to sometimes be a bit off in my area.

Has anyone else felt that Google Weather tends to be more accurate? I think it could be a great alternative or addition as a data source. What are your experiences?

Nothing mentioned that they wanted to change their supplier. However, it was quite a long time ago, so maybe they have changed their minds.

Sp4ce_Migr4tion yes it’s so much inaccurate in terms of data as compared to google weather.

I really want google weather as option for data in weather app.

I manually use BBC weather for England and The Met for rainfall radar maps through a browser on my phone, if I really need to know. I had to avoid rain over the weekend for 4 days as I was painting my house and that way the most accurate way.

My Garmin Forerunner 45 just pulls from the closest official weather reporting station, usually an airport, so I use that instead for temps and it’s always on my wrist.

CMF1_hacker yup Local weather agency are more accurate than AccuWeather.

Google mostly use several agency data to be accurate so I prefer this because I have hobby of gardening so weather application is very important for me to know about rains, heat, humidity, etc.

That’s why I like google weather more than AccuWeather.
