Private Space: forgot PIN / how to reset PIN

I set up the private space in the app drawer and i literally don’t remember drawing or selecting a pattern type unlock. Till before 2 hours, it was working perfectly where i was able to open it with my fingerprint. But suddenly i am locked out. There is no option to forget or change the pattern without entering the pattern; which again I don’t remember.

Please suggest what can be done here.

On your Android device, open your device’s Settings app.
Tap System and then Reset Options and then Delete private space.
Enter your device PIN.
Tap Delete.

Tip: The “Reset private space” action under System Settings also shows when you don’t have a private space. If someone else uses your device, they can’t tell that you have a private space when they find “Reset private space” in the Settings app. This option can be used to delete private space if you forget the private space lock, and want to reset the space.

KhwaishDave I think it’s a bug because it’s happening with most of us. Including my friend told me this problem.

Mr Steel It is still asking for the private space password for reset. It is not accepting the device password.

franek_WUbs3wzTHw yes..after placing the privacy password still shows inaccurate password.atleast nothing should provide forgot password option. Because resetting the whole mobile is not always the solution.

Private space always comes with 2 optional locking pin+ fingerprint,pin+something on your phone .try to remember what it is.if pin is forgotten their will be another option done by you

i setup my privet space a few days ago i didnt use it and i forgot the password how can i reset it? i dont have any data in my privet space so if there is a way by completely deleting it can solve the problem please let me know

Heyy. I kinda forgot the privacy pin for the private space. Although I did type my main system pin instead of the private pin, it took me back to lock screen and there appears to be no option to reset the pin either. Any other options to open the private space?

I am typing correct password still not opening 😔, i had set fingerprint+password but not showing fingerprint option directly password is coming, atleast give us reset without deleting data using system password or google password

omkarnaik1018 the onli solution now is to erase the space but all my imp apps are there tho, and idk what all I installed since it’s in the space. Can’t install them again without uninstalling the main app. The main app won’t even appear in the apps section because the space apps are separate from the main apps. Maybe it’s just a bug I suppose cause I only remember giving it a fingerprint and no pin

AlbinBinuSebastian same happened with me if I take backup also google won’t install it again as it is not showing in playstore, i had called nothing india support they said to factory restore no other option
