In Nothing we perceive a bold spirit of exploration – through design, technology, and aesthetic. Inspired by the pulse of urban nomadism, we’ve introduced a subtle yet striking innovation: a thin layer of retro-reflective material applied to target surfaces of the device.
This reflective layer isn’t just about visibility – it’s a dynamic visual experience. When light shines, the phone comes alive, casting unexpected flashes and glows that catch the eye from far away. It plays with perception, turning movement and light into moments of connection. It’s a feature that invites interaction, delight, and curiosity – both by day or night.
We were inspired by urban night life: reflective elements, flashing lights, road signs.
We chose to focus on neon yellow, reminiscent of the urban world, as it stands out as the most distinctive and impactful shade.
However, we also consider the other hues — all inspired by universally recognized urban elements — to be equally intriguing and rich in character.
By applying a thin layer of reflective material to the selected surfaces, it creates intriguing light effects that make the phone visible from dozens of meters away when illuminated.
When it comes to production, it’s as practical as it is powerful: a simple adhesive layer application with minimal cost and maximum impact. Powerful yet simple.
The fly may seem ordinary at first glance, is a striking metaphor for urban nomadism. Agile and tireless, it moves fluidly through spaces adapting with ease to ever-shifting environments – much like today’s urban explorers.
Its exceptional capacity to sense and react in low-light conditions evoke the spirit of nocturnal life in the city.
Just as the fly’s compound eyes capture and amplify light in darkness, urban nomads rely on sharp perception, constant movement, and a drive for discovery to navigate and inhabit the city’s ever-changing landscape, both by day and by night.
The result? A device that stands out with intention. Expressive, modern, and unapologetically bold, goes beyond technology or aesthetic: it becomes a personal statement.
