About Nothing Original 45W Charger

Hey there..

My charger is behaving abnormaly since yesterday, getting hot in seconds and when I plug phone, the phone itself start misfunctioning, touch start working by self, multiple windows open at a time. Charger get really very warm withing seconds. Do anyone out here have any idea why this is happening? And what should I do?? Ofcourse I am gonna buy a new charger but if anyone do have a similar experience with the original nothing 45W charger, kindly share.

ADARSH SINGH I have had my Phone 1 since a couple of months after it’s launch with the Nothing phone charger and to date I’ve not experienced any problems such as you are sadly having. But I definitely think you are right to get it replaced as soon as possible. Maybe also contact nothing support to see if there’s anything they can do?

did you buy the 45W charger from amazon? The amazon chargers are fake, only flipkart sells official nothing products, the fake chargers cause issues like the ones you mentioned

ADARSH SINGH Hey mate. This is probably to do with your the socket you have it plugged into rather than the charger. Have you tried using a different socket?

I have this with one of my non-Nothing chargers when I’m charging my device on the train… in every other socket it works fine.

MarkG13 Thankyou for the suggestion sir. I have ordered another one for me. The one I have was working very fine till yesterday and I am glad it was so good. It might have damaged due to voltage fluctuation or something, I mean, it still charges but get hot very soon. I have been happily using it since almost two years.

ADARSH SINGH then I believe it must be due to wrong voltage input in your charging socket, 🙂 try a different socket?

My 45W Charger, bought with the 3a Pro, just stopped working after a few weeks. Bought from Proshop.no in Norway. I have asked for a replacement under warranty.

Mine does not get hot, it just don’t work

adrian_tande_olesen had this issue as well but the reason was accumulated dust in charger port. When I cleaned the charger port it worked again
