Welcome to the April edition of the Nothing Newsletter! With a huge CMF by Nothing launch including the brand new CMF Phone 2 Pro, voting concluding for this year’s Community Edition Project and the collection of our iF Design Gold Award in Berlin, it’s been an exciting one. Read on for all the updates!
New CMF Launches & Event in Delhi
Just this week, CMF by Nothing launched a new lineup of products including the CMF Phone 2 Pro. It’s already been praised by the media and celebrated with a launch event in Delhi that was live-streamed across the world. With a new Universal Cover, lanyard and interchangeable, detachable lenses, we’re taking modularity to a new level!
The CMF Phone 1 was a spectacle. CMF Phone 2 Pro is basically Nothing saying, “hey, we’re here to stay.” Watch out. - India Today
Community members were also able to test out the new camera system on a community photo walk, also in Delhi, and community reviewers across India tested out the new camera.
The Universal Cover .stp file has also been released here, so if you’d like to have a go at 3D printing your own accessories for CMF Phone 2 Pro, you can! If you create something, we’d love to see it.
Community Edition 2025: Stay Tuned for the Winners
By now, you’ll be well-acquainted with the Community Edition Project. This year, we received over 700 amazing submissions across hardware, software, accessory design and the creative campaign.
The Nothing team are really impressed with the quality of applications this year, and we thank everyone who made the time to create a submission, or show support and vote for their favourites. Our internal jury are now deliberating and deciding on the winning entries, so keep your eyes peeled for an announcement in the coming weeks.
And as if this month wasn’t exciting enough, the Community Team flew to Berlin to attend the iF Design Awards Ceremony with @Astrid and @Kenta to receive the prestigious iF Gold Award for Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition! You can read all about it here.
Software Updates for Phone (3a) Series
The latest Phone (3a) Series update adds 4K video recording to the telephoto/periscope cameras, along with major camera upgrades for low light, selfies, and high-res shots. Nothing X gets a fresh new UI and Buds 2 Series support, while Essential Space sees performance boosts and faster AI responses. New features like Privacy Space and Hotspot Manager round out a packed update. You can read all about it here!

This book is a great entry into the world of Stoicism. It’s accessible, and there’s a podcast version where they do a monthly book review around business, performance, fiction etc.
Podcast - Rewatchables- recommended by Stefano, Brand & Creative Team
Rewatchables is a podcast that’s essentially a bunch of film nerds talking about classic films that are totally rewatchable! They talk through films from start to finish and I love reminiscing on the best scenes with them.
