I broke my old phone a while ago and had been procrastinating on buying a new one because no brand seemed to bring anything truly new to the table. I just discovered Nothing — and even though I don’t (yet!) own any of their devices, I actually felt excited about tech again.
Let’s start with the basics: it’s a European brand — which means buying their tech helps support the growth of Europe 🙂 . I also loved the idea of the layers. We live in a world where we really need to produce less waste, and the possibility of easily replacing a screen when it breaks, or upgrading just one component instead of tossing out the whole phone, feels like the right path forward. Imagine being able to swap out the battery or upgrade the camera in a few years!
They seem to care about the values I care about, without holding back on innovation! I’d been looking for a device that integrates ChatGPT for a long time — I had seen other AI integrations, but ChatGPT is the one I use daily, so this one really caught my eye.
In short, I’m loving the brand — the clean design, the values, and the way they’re pushing boundaries to make tech that’s actually useful in everyday life.
As for the Phone (3a) Pro, what I really love is how it represents a new concept: the idea of layers.
