There are 3 features that caught my eye while testing and playing around with the 3a Pro: the FHD + AMOLED display, the camera and the glyph interface.
The display is just very smooth and responsive, the 120 hz refresh rate is refreshing to have 😁. The colors look very good and even after using it for a longer period of time it’s just less disturbing to my eyes, I don’t know what it is about it but it’s just more relaxing to look at, probably the 3000 nits are having a say in it.
The camera is also really nice, now, mind you, I’m no photographer, but the pictures turn out really nice even indoors where there’s less natural light. And the quality is seriously impressive when you zoom in on a picture, compared to what i’ve seen on other phone cameras (I used apple, but not pro or pro max, just the base model, and also xiaomi, the cameras weren’t bad by any means, but the one on Nothing Phone 3a Pro surpasses them in my opinion).
And lastly, a cool feature I really like is the glyph interface, now at first I thought this was just a gimmick, but I saw that you can actually make it quite useful as the glyph can show certain information like charging. I just like the idea that you can set it on a table face down and still see certain info without picking it up, that’s just neat.
Of course the chipset and battery are not to be left out, I don’t usually game on phones but I tried it out just to see how it goes, and i was impressed with the performance smoothness, games look nice and they run very well. And the battery is holding it’s juice way better than I thought.
For me, it’s nice to know there’s a phone out there that has a great performance to battery life ratio and you can have great fun with it too via camera, gaming, playing around with the glyph interface. And all that for very good value.
