More precise volume control

currently nothingOS has a default 15 step volume control from the next update, i wish users could customize it in range of 15-120 like Samsung Galaxy device...

My Nothing Ear 2024’s volume control is kind of “snapping” to specific levels, preventing finer adjustments. Unfortunately theres no sweet spot between volumes, so its either you are listening to something really loud, or slightly quiet. Is there a way to adjust the volumes more finer? I tried the volume slider, it doesnt change until it goes up to a certain level, almost like mice DPIs that only have 400dpi, 800dpi, 1200dpi, without stuff in between

I was previously using xiaomi phones (not happy about them) but the thing that they do good in my opinion is volume control.

It would be nice to have the main volume slider, and if you could pop out an app specific volume adjustment sliders that default to 100% but if you need the lowest volume to be even lower in specific apps you can lower the volume for them.

About a month ago, I bought the Nothing Phone 3a, and the overly large volume steps are the most annoying part of the user experience—the sound is either too quiet or too loud. It’s a shame to see that people were already complaining about this back in late 2023, but the company still hasn’t fixed it

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently transitioned from iOS to the Nothing ecosystem (3a as my work phone) and have been thoroughly enjoying the experience. However, I’ve noticed that the volume control could benefit from more precision, perhaps by increasing the number of volume steps or allowing customization (without using third party apps).

Additionally, integrating a volume slider directly into the quick settings panel, similar to iOS’s Control Center, would enhance usability and provide quicker access.

Has anyone else felt the same? Would love to hear your thoughts!

This is not Apple, brightness slider in quick settings would just take up space for nothing, why do you need that? It’s absolutely quicker an accessible way pressing the volume button and slide it with your Apple finger than opening quick panel…

The only thing Nothing needs to solve with volume is it’s steps and individual app volume.
