This is my favourite photo I’ve taken this year. I took it on a beautiful summer day (June 17th), in one of my favourite cities in the Netherlands (Zwolle).

It’s my favourite photo because I was on my way to meet up with one of my best friends, and as I was wandering towards his place; I noticed these beautiful pink roses.

It had rained earlier that day, leaving little water droplets on the rose petals. Seeing these roses in the middle of the city reminded me that there’s always something beautiful hiding nearby, you just have to stop and pay attention once in a while.

I took this photo on December 25 in Klaipėda, Lithuania, from my balcony. It was a stunning moment as the sun was setting, painting the sky with vibrant orange and pink hues that melted into the cool blues of the evening. The silhouetted apartment buildings in the foreground added a dramatic contrast, making the colors of the sky stand out even more.

I captured this shot using my Nothing Phone (2a) without any special settings, relying on the natural beauty of the scene. It was one of those moments where everything aligned perfectly, and I felt compelled to preserve it. This photo reminds me of the calm and quiet beauty of winter evenings in Klaipėda.

I took this photo in Tokyo (December 2024), during a long awaited trip that the COVID had halted. I found a fascinating spot where I could capture both the old and the new: a temple and the Tokyo Tower. I tried various spots to get the best composition, and that’s what I ended up with. I shot it with my newly acquired CMF Phone 1: the camera is surely not the best, but knowing it’s limitations I just had to work around them to get this (imho) beautiful shot. As I learned, constraints are the spark of creativity, forcing you to find new ways to get to your goal. To get the final result I used Adobe Lightroom to get the details that the phone had captured to pop, and enhance the raw image. No AI was used.
