Rob ⚡️ It is fascinating how Nothing shares a teardown of a product so the community can get a real insight of it.

It was interesting to read the post and know about the Ear (open).

What I learnt:-

• The Ear (open) is tilted at 50° so that the speaker is placed directly over the ear.

• 14.2mm Titanium coated diaphragm which reduces distortion and reproduces crisp high frequency notes with great accuracy.

• One of the two mics is present on the FPC which has a touch sensor for various gesture controls.

Rob ⚡️ This is awesome… the Fact that Nothing is one of the only companies explaining everything they are doing, not only blows minds, but also impresses the users on how delicate yet durable and how precise all the tech is.

One of the many things i found crazy awesome about this article, is the use of the flexible circuit board… i never knew that such and important thing can be used as a flexible part… which makes me rethink all the other tech that can bend… The Second thing that amazes me is how nothing utilizes every little space it has in a device… this reminds me of the Apple first ever ipod discussion between Steve Jobs and the engineers.. and the ipod being too large … he told to use the least space possible… this looks like an amazing practice of something like that … (i am not promoting apple … just saying how awesome the compactness is)

Rob ⚡️ Hey, Rob! Would love to see a teardown of the CMF Buds Pro 2. Specifically the unique smart dial case. I have been using it for a while now and I am mighty impressed with the tech. I would love to know all the little details under the hood for that one.

Rob ⚡️ At 19mm thin, Ear (open) has one of the slimmest charge cases in the OWS category this is what I’ve learned through this teardown. Pretty good specs!!

@Rob ⚡️ Thanks for sharing yet another interesting teardown 😍! I’m impressed by how it minimizes the sound leakage using mesh and directional speakers for achieving privacy. The explanation of how reverse sound waves are generated and superimposed to cancel out sound waves for precise audio transmission is really insightful 🤔

Ear (open) are best looking over ear, earphones. In these there is not ear fitment issue, because of its design. By this post, I learnt that each component is made for its work, but Nothing mixed it with there uniques design. A lot of engineering is behind this Ear (open), that we seen here in the tear down and how beautifully, All these small components are joined and designed, To make It a Master Piece Overall.

I am so excited to try these.

I bought this device for several reasons: they hold well and don’t fall out, a good microphone, they don’t put pressure on the ear.

I find really interesting the hook, it would be nice to try this in the gym if it’s actually better and doesent distress after wearing it for long periods. Really cool the sound seal system, i don’t like when you can listen the private audio of others, so this is really nice to prevent this

Nice to see them opened. Didn’t expect it to still look cool after the teardown. Was a bit skeptical about nothing open, but now I like it. Good and thoughtful product from nothing as always, presented in a special way.

I find these earbuds really interesting for practicing sports. The hook and battery placement should provide good stability in the ears while running!

unfortunately, there is a problem with the right earphone, the charge is consumed in 20 minutes, and sometimes after connecting it works for 5 minutes and turns off, and does not see it, even if it is in the case.

the advice of the support service did not help. either the firmware or the hardware. Current firmware

I always like those post as it it very interesting to see/understand what is inside the product.

In this case, I learned a lot about the Ear(open) diaphragm.

I find it very interesting that such small batteries as in the ear open can last multiple hours. And it’s also great that you used the battery as a counterweight for the buds.
