Im an Pixel 4a user and slowly its getting old, I really like nothings design and principles and i really think its them launching the next small phone.

AUX: Is my most desired feature next to a small screen and it saved me in so many moments, its a useful feature like a small screen is. so pls add a Headphone Jack

Smartphones 3a and 3a (Pro) are very successful. I have the smallest smartphone – Nothing 1. But its dimensions are also frustrating. And the new 3a series is even larger and heavier. It’s such a pity. It’s time for Nothing to make not only huge smartphones but also compact ones. After all, the entire smartphone lineup is big and inconvenient. It’s time to do something about this! SumitKrdas hey mate. Carl and others have spoken about this in YouTube videos. They’d need to be considerable demand to make a smaller phone worthwhile, because they cost more to manufacture which is why less manufacturers do it. Nothing aren’t at a point yet where they can make something for a few, they need scale for many reasons!

Smartphones are getting way too big. My only reason not to buy an nothing phone is that they are huge. Who wants to carry a that big phone. I currently own a Samsung S22, one of the smallest Android Phones, and that is a good smartphone size. With Phone 4 can you please launch an version, thats smaller. It can have a worse battery life and some other downgrades, but keep a good camera (like the camera from the Phone 3a).

5.5 might be too small to be actually reasonable, it might even be a challenge to redesign nothing os for it. Now that 6.7 is the mainstream, making a 6.1 would be good and also profitable.

Oppo find N2 is one of the most hand friendly phone i have ever used. I hope one day nothing will make a phone with a similar size.

Been an samsung user for over 4 years, bought s10, flip 4 and currently on s23. Beens struggling to find a smaller phone these days! Even though I am got big hands and stuff. Having a smaller phone that can easily fit into my jeans pocket while walking around is scarce. It is even less distracting when comparing a large screen phone vs a smaller one!

Multiple concerns:

1 Seems there is no screen manufacturer producing smaller screen nowadays? Would probably increase the cost of production on the phone as it can not be split among multiple brands

2 Usability vs screen size, whats the sweet spot of a smaller screen while maintaining certain level of usability

3 Market size, Consumers are used to large phones(challenge this statement!)

4 Battery size, can it withstand a whole day use? If a smaller battery is used to fit into a smaller phone?

Personally: Something like a sony z5? Without top and bottom notch. Screen to body ratio >98%

I totally agree that 6.⅞ is diabolical. Phones are gettin bigger, but my pockets aren’t. I understand that small phones don’t sell well - shame - and that people want a big screen to watch YouTube or instagram, but there’s nothing super pleasant with having a gigantic phone in your hand or your pocket. I think there’s a lot of potential for a small phone with the Nothing interface/ecosystem. Having a limited edition of the 3a that’s smaller would be super appreciated, so that they don’t product a ton of it for nothing (hihi) and see if it’s worth it. But that implies a lot of questions: how would the fingerprint sensor be for instance, with all the widget on the Lock Screen? Honestly I think it’s always too low on most phones anyway, so having it centered, or on a button instead would be cool. Battery life-wise, it’s also a potential issue, but 4400mh for a 6.1 works fine nowadays especially if you have fast charging. But yeah, would Nothing spent time, money and energy in R&D for a smaller phone? I would love to, especially if they want to do something different, but I don’t think they will. Happy to be wrong, but the market is pretty clear right now: the bigger the better. Fair enough I guess…

i must say that Nothing has changed the way modern phones look! My 2A is a head turner for many 😬

But what i really look forward is a smaller size phone, i really miss the time when phones used to fit well in our palms. As per my knowledge the Zenfone 10 was the last of powerful smartphone. can Nothing make one small yet powerful and a beautiful looking phone next?
