NFC Payments with Google Wallet not working

LinuxJava7 Same issue here with NP1. My story is that I got new credit cards, so delete old ones, new ones in. In the shops it says “Unrecognized card”. I got those Google Wallet cards working for a small period of time, when clearing the NFC cache -> reboot -> cards worked for couple of times. Again to same pain “Unrecognized card”. Really, factory reset is not option for me. Can’t figure it out what is wrong, clearly this is some issue on NothingPhone. Has anyone removed NFC service from android? can you install it back?

I’ve got the same issue here. Using a Nothing Phone (2), updated to Nothing OS 2.6.1(?) and my NFC chip has stopped working. Had no issues whatsoever prior to the software update.

LinuxJava7 I have the exact same issue, with the exact same diagnosis. The very same debit cards work on the 2nd phone (Samsung S21) simultaneously. So ist obvious its not the cards, and my problem started the same time as you in May/June. Has nothing managed to find a fix for this yet? Its now 4 months and the problem has not been fixed yet. Has anyone advanced with this issue? Look forward to your responses.

I’m having the same issue. It worked for a little while after i got my NP2 a few months ago and then suddenly stopped working. I could imagine that it’s because of a nothing os update or because I added a work profile, but i don’t have a way to verify that. :/

I heard of this issue but just bought a cmf 1 but now having doubts as no one from nothing has jumped on this to show a work round yet. ThinkI will return it

As workaround another user indicates that data cache of NFC service must be deleted and after doing it, reboot the phone (step by step is in the previous thread).

Some users are saying that this works for them, but was not my case, I had to do a factory reset and then NFC payments worked again, but only for 3 days!..today I have again the same issue with NFC payments.

Good evening! I have the nothing phone 2 and suddenly three days ago the Google Wallet stoped working. When I turn on the NFS for payment, I get the message: your device doesn’t meet security requirements. It was working perfectly before. Any ideas? Thank you in advance
